Renewed Perspective

No one enjoys a beautiful snow anymore than me, but lately I've really been craving Spring. Hoping for the warmth of the sun, eager to plant flowers and work in the yard, or take walks in the afternoon with just a light breeze blowing. Seeing the yellow bell blooming this week stirred my hope for Spring even more.

Instead, God gave us a blanket of white to once again slow us down and take time to look at what He has so graciously given us. The snow just seems to take what we have and put it into a whole new perspective...beautiful.

Today was such a peaceful day of rest. Spending time with my family was just what I needed! Father really does know best!

Isaiah 41:30-31
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary
they will walk and not be faint.

Embrace each day,
Ginger

What a lovely post. I, too, am ready for Spring. I guess I've been a little impatient about it, though.

Beautiful pictures!

The snow is beautiful, but I'm ready for spring too!
I've never been a fan of winter or cold weather.

I love the verse from Isaiah. Beth Moore used that verse in the ending of our lesson last week in the Esther study.
She read it from the KJV and it said they that wait on the Lord. She said (something like this) we wait on the event....the wedding, the baby etc. and it depletes our strength. But when we wait on the Lord....our strength is renewed. The way she explained it was so good.
It was really good to read it yet again on here.
God bless you, Ginger!

I'm now living in a place where there are no snowy reminders to take a needed pause. While I don't really miss the hard winters and all that goes with them, I do miss the unexpected gift of a snow day - thanks for sharing yours!

Blessings,
Melinda

Thanks for the beautiful pictures! I find myself getting impatient here in sunny Florida when we have a 'cold spell'! Glad that you had a day of love and relfection!!

Bless you,

While we don't have the snow over here, I've sure been enjoying some much needed rest in the past few days. I didn't realize how tired I was. How thankful I am for the opportunity to pause and to simply "be."

I so wish that we could have just ONE snow day! Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to get any this year. Oh well! I'm glad you enjoyed it with your family!

Happy Wednesday!

God always know what we need best, doesn't he? Your snow was so pretty but for me, best seen in a picture!
