Although it's not officially spring, I think Mark Twain hit the nail on the head when he wrote these words:
In the spring I have counted
one hundred and thirty-six
different kinds of weather
inside of four and twenty hours.
- Mark Twain
Spring officially begins Friday and as we all know, March is notorious for it's wacky weather! Over the last four days, around these parts, it has been cold, rainy, and windy. Last Friday early in the day, the sun even managed to peek out!
I love spring though and the hope that it brings. Signs of growth and renewal all around, bring hope to my own personal pruning, that God is ever present.
Whether or not Ann Bradstreet intended for this poem/quote to be about one's personal growth or walk with the Lord, I don't know, but I saw great parallels.
If we had no winter the spring would not be so pleasant;
if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity
would not be so welcome.
-Ann Bradstreet

There's hope in winter that spring is coming.
Embrace hope,
Ginger
