Last night I was needing a bit of encouragement...better still a swift kick in the pants may be a better way to put it. Quite frankly I was thinking about how I didn't want to get up this morning and go to work! The 5:00 a.m. wake up call is just a little more than this gal can sometimes muster.
Not that I'm not thankful for a job, I am. Not that I don't love my job, I do. However, after being on Spring Break for a week, I was really getting used to not being on any sort of schedule. Plus the fact, that I allowed myself to start thinking about the numerous things on my "to do" list!
Spring break was just what the doctor ordered! Nice, quiet, and relaxing..much needed time for rest.
Looking for that much needed encouragement, I decided to read my bible before turning in for the night. I currently don't have a plan that I follow when reading my bible, but try to just go where I feel led. This time it just happened to be where I placed my bulletin after church on Sunday.
Lazy? Maybe. But not a coincidence to what I was led to read!
Psalm 96:1-2
Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth,
Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
It hit me like a ton of bricks that I really need to be thankful to have this opportunity day after day...placed in my position for a reason. I should be grateful for the opportunity to hopefully make a difference in some body's life! Not just mine.
Embrace the swift kick,
Ginger :)

Ginger,
Your honesty and "say it like it is" style is always refreshing in the short time we've been visiting one another. Makes me love ya even more because I can so RELATE to what you say.
I used to for many years have those O no don't want to get up early and go to work thoughts actually until 2 years ago when my life changed and went in another direction praise GOD but I do remember...
I love the Psalm and the thoughts you've shared. Be encouraged dear sister.
Ha ... you are too cute. We all need swift kicks!
I understand how you feel. I remember how I felt when I worked full time.
Bless you girl!
Beth
Embrace the swift kick...LOL.
I have a 5:30 a.m. wake-up time every morning. I understand what you mean about not always wanting to get up! You are right about being thankful for opportunity, though. I have always said that teaching is a calling...the good teachers are the ones who have heard directly from God. Obviously, you have been CALLED, and I am sure you are making a difference!
Blessings...
Beth E.
P.S. I like the new background...your dots are, indeed, delightful! ;o)

Just think, it won't be long now until summer break. Yay!
I used to teach and I loved the kids, loved my job etc. but it is a very tiresome job with huge responsibilities.
Hang in there!

Amen my friend! I pray your week is going well. Thanks for always being such an encouragement!
