Blue Ribbon Ceremony...PSE The Place To Be!

I couldn't have been more proud to be a part of the faculty and staff at my school today! Our school was recognized for receiving one of the highest honors a school can receive. National Blue Ribbon School. Simply put, our school was recognized for its high achievement in academics.

It looked like a sea of blue as the children quietly precessed in to be recognized for a job well done!

As the Chief of Staff for CMS put it today, "It's like winning the National Championship." Our boys and girls are such hard workers and don't mind going the extra mile. Way to go Rockets!!! You soar high!

It's not just days like this that I know why I teach, although the recognition certainly is nice, but it's the smiles on the children's faces, and their sweet voices as they sing the school song, that I'm reminded of the why!

It's not about the ceremony or being a part of the choir, making sure every note is just perfect and in harmony or that every ribbon is tied just so, but it's about reaching and teaching each child and knowing that what I do today will hopefully make a difference tomorrow.

Our Staff Choir! We love to sing together and really have a great time when we do!

I thought I had already commented but didn't see it. I must have read it and gotten interrupted.
Congratulation. I know this makes you so proud.

I also wanted to tell you that I've been cooking supper for about the last 40 minutes & I've been listening to your playlist.
You have some great music on there. So many of my favorites! I've been blessed.

Love,
Valerie
