Where do I even begin? It was such a wonderful weekend...nothing but rest, relaxtion and spending time with the ones you love. Sunday afer going to early church, Tony went to the Panthers game with his good buddy Skip. They had a great time and took the light rail to the game. What a great game! He was so excited because he never gets to do this...free tickets! Saturday night I had fixed a huge pot of chili and we had lots of left overs, so I invited Candy, my life long friend, that just happens to be Skip's wife over to lunch for chili. We had a great time catching up. Although we teach at the same school and go the the same church, we don't get to talk as often as we'd like. Imagine that. :(
It was a beautiful day to run errands and plant flowers...still have a ways to go with planting! Fall is such a beautiful time of year. It's like God's canvas. Our street is a short, yet a beautiful part of that canvas. The way the trees are nestled along the way, it reminds me somewhat of Blowing Rock. It is absolutely beautiful when the leaves begin to change colors.
Sunday evening was just the icing on the cake to an absolutely perfect weekend. We went to a praise and worship service on Sunday night at Elevation Church. Wow! I couldn't stop singing "Glory in the Highest" Being able to praise our Lord so freely for all that He has meant in my life is so humbling.
Psalm 29:2 Give unto the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
