What's Your Passion?

I had so much fun this afternoon! Several of the teachers I work with and myself were asked to sing at an upcoming function at our school and we had our first rehearsal this afternoon. We had such a great time of fun and fellowship practicing our school song...singing in harmony...A Capella. Singing is something I love to do and have always enjoyed since I was a little girl. I guess you could say it is a passion, because when I sing I feel so alive.

I try to sing any opportunity I can! The very things in life that make us feel the most alive are often the things that we don't embrace. That is music for me. In 1 Peter Chapt.4:10 we are instructed to use whatever gift we have to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in various forms. How often do we really use that gift, talent or true ability that God has given us for His kingdom? I'm not so sure that I do all that I can.

My gifts, my purpose, my passions are all ways I can serve God. They weren't given to me to serve myself, but to serve others.

My hope is that one child at this dedication service will have their passion ignited to say if my teacher can do what she loves...I can too!

Embrace your passions and embrace life!

How I admire you! When I was growing up, I loved to sing, but was very timid and shy...well, more like insecure....maybe had I been encouraged from a teacher, I would not have let it hold me back...if I'm asked to sing now, that little "insecure" girl comes back out. And I have to fight it each time!!

I agree with NC Beth. I LOVE to sing, but when I have to do it in front of others I get all nervous!

That doesn't prevent me from singing at the top of my lungs in my car, though! lol

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog.

Have a great day!
