More Celebrating!

Today is another day to celebrate! Happy Birthday Papa Joe! Tony's Dad, my father-in-law is celebrating! Happy 70th!

November and December are big months in our family for celebrations of birthdays and anniversaries along with March and April!

When I was just a little girl, Mr. Joe delivered milk to our house. He worked for Coble Dairy. I used to love it when he would pick me up and let me choose an ice cream from the freezer on the inside of the milk truck. Now that was the cat's meow to a barefoot little farm girl!! Little did I know then that I would grow up and marry his son!

Tony's dad used to sing in a gospel quartet called "The Gospel Four" I used to love to hear them sing. Even before Tony and I started dating, I remember hearing them sing at local churches and different singings. They were really good and full of character...or should I say they were characters. Ha! They did add some humor!

Over the years I've known Tony's dad and mom, they have modeled love the way Jesus loves in so many ways. From gracefully dealing with the unexpected accident of a son in 1981 resulting in a serious head injury, to taking mission trips over seas when neither of them really were in the best of health, to hosting a Belarussian child, Nastya, every summer for the last several years, that they have grown to love as their own.

Thank you for all you've meant to us and Happy Birthday with love!

Matthew 25:23 'Well done thy good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
