We enjoyed Wednesday night with Tony's family and Thursday lunch with my family. Here are a few of the pictures. Katie with Granny Ann and Papa Joe and Tony's brother Danny and his wife Denise.

Thursday was a beautiful day on the farm at Mama and Daddy's! My sister Jan and her husband Barry and their children Callie and Evan joined us.

Here are pictures of the calf I wrote about the other day! He is finally nursing his mama and has strength in his legs. What a cutie. Callie and Evan had named him Lucky and then decided to change his name to Stormy after the mascot for the Hurricanes! I've also included a picture of Callie's horses, the farm house I grew up in, the old barns, Katie's cow and other cool shots of the farm I grew up on!

As a child, there was nothing better than being on the farm and playing in the dirt and running to the front door to see if something planted the day before in the field across the house had started to grow! As a teenager I didn't really appreciate it quite as much. The rows of the soybean field seemed to never end! That was how we got our tan...no going swimming until it was finished! However, as an adult, I know that there were many life lessons taught on that farm. Hard work, perseverence, patience and love of life!
I am so grateful to have had that experience and am thankful that our daughter experienced it if only for a short amount of time.
Being back on the farm gave me a sense of renewal. For that I am thankful. It was peaceful and quiet and gave me time to be with the ones I love!
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
