A Time for Rest

December 2,1923-September 12, 2009

My daddy lost his very brief, yet courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 12, 2009. My mother, sister and I were very blessed to be by his side along with his sons-in-laws and the grandchildren when he went on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just the way he had hoped.

The last few weeks I've spent with my daddy, mama and sister have been such precious days and moments.

Daddy was truly a godly man. He was a loving and devoted husband of 61 years. A father we called daddy and a very proud papa. A father-in-law that set quite the example for what he called his boys. A man of conviction, a true friend, and one that never met a stranger.

To the very best memory maker ever!

I love you Daddy.
Ginger

Ginger,
I've had you on my mind so much lately and just knew something must be going on.
Your daddy was a precious man and I know he was so proud to have such a wonderful daughter like you.
My eyes watered as I read this. Bless your heart. I know how close you are to your family.
I'm thankful you all were able to be with him when he passed on to be with Jesus.
I'm keeping you in my prayers.
Love you!

Ginger,

My heart is with you. Seeing your name pop up on my Email through Blogger caused me to rush over here before I even read your message as I've been thinking and praying about you as you know.

I'm deeply sorry for the earthly loss of your precious Father. I'm grateful for the obvious love and caring relationship he had with you and your family and I rejoice in knowing he is WHOLE and ALIVE in CHRIST forevermore and one day you will all see him again in glory.

My prayers and love are with you.
